After enjoying at least one new club anthem featuring Suzanne Palmer every year since 1995, I wasn’t satisfied with what had recently become a two-year break between releases. So I’m thrilled to report that the Chicago dance diva has returned in less than 12 months with the follow up to last year’s “Keep On Keepin’ On.”
Released this past week, “Joy” finds Palmer collaborating for a second time with DJ/producer Georgie Porgie, who also calls the Windy City home. Georgie Porgie contributes several different mixes to the single’s remix package, while Brazil’s Tommy Love and England’s Funk3d (aka Ben Corker) have also reworked “Joy” into a fittingly ecstatic frenzy.
Funk3d’s Club Mix is my pick of the pack, but since there’s no stream available, check out this lyric video for “Joy” featuring Georgie Porgie’s Anthemic Radio Mix.
Purchase Suzanne Palmer – “Joy” via iTunes or directly (and much more cheaply) from Georgie Porgie’s Music Plant Records.
