With Love ‘From Me’ To You

I don’t make it a point to dream about pop stars, though if ever polygraphed and asked, I’d probably admit to a years-ago stretch of occasional dreams in which Madonna played a part. I can’t recall the specific details of my subconscious wanderings this far past the fact, except that we were on friendly terms. I’d venture to say Madonna was much more believable in my theater of the mind than her turn in The Next Best Thing, for sure.

But back to the start, I had a dream involving Adam Lambert the other night. Nothing lascivious, mind you. Basically, I was explaining/apologizing to him that I wasn’t a fan during his Idol run last year, but now am very much on board with both him and his music.

The waking trigger for this subsequent encounter in dreamland is that I’ve had the Fonzerelli Electro House Club Mix of Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me” in my head since receiving a promo a few weeks back (hitting repeat on my iPod several times over cemented it in place). Lambert is finally issuing a remix EP featuring takes on “Whataya Want From Me” and “For Your Entertainment,” meaning now you too can get a little closer to this other side of him. Hear here:

Adam Lambert strips down for MTV Unplugged, airing again tonight at 9/8c on Palladia. And on Tuesday, he’ll return to the show that made him a star, serving as musical mentor for the Top 9 on American Idol. I hope Lambert won’t hold back from offering his opinions on costuming too.

Purchase “Whataya Want From Me (Fonzerelli Electro House Club Mix)” via Adam Lambert’s official site now. On Tuesday, the digital EP hits iTunes and Amazon MP3.
