Call an ambulance and alert the authorities, because either I’m very ill or the world really is coming to a crashing end next month: I actually like a song by 3OH!3.
I can’t believe I just typed those seven words. Something is very seriously wrong with me.
The song that has me wondering whether to question other long-held beliefs is “Youngblood,” an anthemic, Passion-Pit-meets-Fun. single from the (formerly?) douchey duo’s forthcoming new album, Omens. I’m trying not to read too much into that title in my fragile state, but it has to be some sort of sign that I’ve gone insane.
Oh, but no, the natural order of the universe remains undisturbed. Prolific pop writer-producer Greg Kurstin (P!nk, Kelly Clarkson), who pitched in on 3OH!3’s 2010 album, Streets Of Gold, added his magic to “Youngblood.” That’s why it’s so irresistible. Whew!
