STRANGERS have debuted a new single, “Wolf At The Door,” following up the Close EP that the Londoners released late last year.
Having transitioned from a trio to a duo (though perhaps only temporarily), STRANGERS’ David Maddox-Jones and Raife Hacking continue to expand and refine the their sonic palette. “Wolf At The Door” won’t be available for download until June 2, giving you plenty of time to get familiar with the latest edition to STRANGERS’ self-described ‘escapist pop’ oeuvre.
“Wolf At The Door” has built-in live-performance appeal. I can already hear the cheers and applause coming during those last piano chords.
Asked about their duo status, Maddox-Jones tells Popservations that he and Hacking are in search of a female to join the fold. Expect the fairer sex to be represented on STRANGERS’ debut album due later this year.
STRANGERS – “Wolf At The Door” is out June 2.
