We last heard from Teddybears in March when they recruited Robyn for a re-do of “Cardiac Arrest,” a track from the Stockholm trio’s 2010 album, Devil’s Music, that originally featured Maipei behind the mic.
Well, Teddybears are back with a new single, “Cho Cha,” another tune plucked from Devil’s Music. This time the band keeps things as-is vocal-wise, with Cee Lo Green and The B-52s pitching in. The inuendo-laden track (“Chocha” is Spanish slang for a lady’s nether regions), with its “Rock Lobster”-like surf-rock and sound effects, is a perfect fit for such colorful personalities, though “Cho Cha” is really Cee Lo’s show, with The B-52s’ Fred Schneider sneaking in just a single line (but a winking good one at that).
Teddybears’Devil’s Music makes its U.S. debut on June 21, with a slightly different tracklisting:
Bukowski
Rocket Scientist (feat. Eve)
Get Mama A House (feat. B.o.B.)
Get Fresh With You (feat. Laza Morgan)
Devil’s Music (feat. ADL)
Crystal Meth Christians (feat. the Flaming Lips)
Glow In The Dark
Cho Cha (feat. Cee-Lo and the B-52s)
Cardiac Arrest (feat. Robyn)
Tek It Down (feat. Rigo)
Wolfman
Cisum Slived
