Track of the Moment

Tensnake feat. Fiora & Nile Rodgers – “Love Sublime”

While Daft Punk were Grammy night darlings, sweeping all five categories in which the duo was nominated, the real winner was one of their collaborators, Nile Rodgers, who shared three awards with the robots, marking his first-ever win after four previous nominations.

“I’ve had a career of a lot of No. 1 records and a lot of records that have been nominated and a lot that have won, but they weren’t in a category that the producer or the composer got the Grammy,” Rodgers remarked to reporters backstage. “So for me to get three is overwhelming. And I honestly don’t know how to respond.”

I’m sure Rodgers will have lots more folks ringing him up to add his musical magic to their projects. Besides his Daft Punk pals, he’s kept a busy schedule, working in recent months with Adam Lambert, Avicii, Chase & Status, Disclosure and Sam Smith, Eats Everything & Lukas, and Tensnake.

“Love Sublime” is the first of two team-ups with Tensnake for the German producer’s forthcoming album, Glow. The track’s relaxed funkiness, featuring vocalist Fiora, is a perfect vibe for January, easing into the year ahead.

“Good Enough To Keep,” Rodgers’ other track with Tensnake and Fiora, is even better. Stay tuned for that one.
