If you were to stop reading right now and click play below, you might mistake the sounds coming from your speakers as a new Kate Bush track (well, if you also ignored the title/track label on the player).

That it isn’t Kate Bush at all takes nothing away from what New York City duo Azar Swan have conjured up, but rather makes it that much more intriguing. Formerly the core members of musical ensemble Religious To Damn, Zohra Atash and Joshua Strawn have disbanded that project to pursue an electronic style that doesn’t rely upon the availability and input of others.

“In My Mouth,” with its thunderous beat, Atash’s Bush-twin staccato intonations, and a super-intense final minute, is utterly captivating.
