As much as I love pop sounds coming from the UK, Sweden, and other lands far, far away, I can’t help but get super-excited by those giving it a go from within the good ol’ USA.

Say hello to new homegrown talent, Conway. Born in south St. Louis, Missouri, the singer-songwriter made her way to Brooklyn before heading west for some L.A. living (she was formerly half of duo All Wrong and the Plans Change).

Brimming with self-assured attitude, “Big Talk” is our introduction to what Conway has to say. Taken from an EP on its way in May, the hooky “Big Talk” was co-written with Anne Preven (Natalie Imbruglia, Adam Lambert) and Billy Mohler, who also co-produced.

Conway took a DIY approach for the “Big Talk” music video, directing, editing, and (naturally) starring in the clip.

Fun fact about the previously mentioned Anne Preven: She co-wrote one of my all-time favorite Madonna album tracks, “Sanctuary.”
