M.O. is a new UK girl group formed by members of two previous outfits. Frankee Connolly comes from Mini Viva, while Annie Ashcroft and Nadine Samuels did time in Duchess.
Marching to an urban-pop beat from London producer RackNRuin, M.O.’s “Ain’t Got Time” is packed with the kind of spunky attitude that made female R&B trios like En Vogue, TLC, and Destiny’s Child so refreshing when they first came on the scene. Serving up a ’90s sound that’s overdue to come around again, here’s hoping radio makes time for M.O. because these ladies from across the pond have got something to say.
While “Ain’t Got Time” has been available as a single for a few weeks, M.O. has just released a remix EP featuring contributions by TS7 and Squarehead as well another track, “On & On,” that deserves a spin. (Another remix of “Ain’t Got Time” by Beatnik is available as a free download here.)
