Martin Solveig, one of the producers featured on Madonna’s new album MDNA, speaks about working with the icon and her very hands-on approach to being in the studio. Don’t try to pull one over on the Queen of Pop, kids!
Solveig also shares his inspiration for the “L-U-V! Madonna!” cheerleading chant in “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” and how he had the singer’s future tour in mind as the song came together.
Three of the six tracks Solveig produced with Madonna appear on the standard edition of MDNA (“Give Me All Your Luvin,” “Turn Up The Radio,” and “I Don’t Give A F”), with three more (“Beautiful Killer,” “I Fucked Up,” and “B-Day Song”) slated for the deluxe edition. Listen to snippets of several via Madonna’s YouTube channel.
Pre-order MDNA, out Tuesday, via iTunes, Amazon.
