I’m a little late in giving Danish duo Quadron‘s latest single, “Hey Love,” some attention (the song premiered in March, with the music video arriving in April), but today’s the day.
Co-written and produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Leona Lewis), “Hey Love” is the first single from Quadron’s sophomore album, Avalanche, out June 4. Mixing a vintage vibe — Coco O.’s vocals, the handclap-like percussion — with some light ’90s house piano in the chorus, “Hey Love” is an absolute pop-soul charmer.
And if, like me, you’re excited that So You Think You Can Dance has returned for the summer, the video for “Hey Love” has all the right moves.
Coco O. is also featured on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, contributing “Where The Wind Blows,” co-written and produced by Andrea Martin. Martin, who’s written hits for Angie Stone and Leona Lewis, scored a #4 dance hit of her own in 1999 with “Share The Love.”
