For the Beastie Boys‘ new music video for the “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” (from Hot Sauce Committee Part Two), Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock have called upon the talents of Spike Jonze once more. Among their previous collabs, the director lensed the Beastie Boys’ classic ’70s cop show clip for “Sabotage” (one of Billboard’s current poll picks for Best ’90s Video).

Based on a script written by MCA (Adam Yauch), “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” features the Beastie Boys as action figures who’ve earned the ire of nefarious forces trying to take out the trio at every turn. Santigold, who guests on the track, is also cast in plastic, as does the Yeti, both of whom help the B-Boys out at opportune moments. Of course, it’s funny too. There’s a great moment when they’re free-falling from the sky and MCA decides the time is right to ask Mike D if he’s indeed going solo.

Jonze’s Explicit Director’s Cut runs 11 minutes long, as shown below, or you can catch a condensed 4-minute edit over at Funny Or Die.
