Tossing and Turning

Bright Light Bright Light has premiered the music video for “Moves,” the final single from Popservations’ top album of 2012, Make Me Believe In Hope.

BrightLightBrightLightMovesEPThe bittersweet breakup ballad also serves as the title track to his new Moves EP arriving next week, which includes an extended 12″ version, a remix by Vinny Vero, and two new tracks, “Blueprint,” and “This Is Me Without You.” The former song previously appeared in acoustic form on Bright Light Bright Light’s Blueprints EP as a duet with Sunday Girl, and the latter is a cousin to Madonna’s “Drowned World/Substitute For Love.”

The “Moves” music video, directed by Paul Frankl, is a thing of beauty (two, actually). While Bright Light Bright Light doesn’t appear in the clip, kudos to him for contributing to the mainstreaming of contemporary dance, following in the steps of fellow popster P!nk and television shows like So You Think You Can Dance.

If you care to make your own “Moves” remix, download the stems via SoundCloud.

Bright Light Bright Light has a handful of upcoming U.S. shows, including his first-ever West Coast gig (yes, I will be there). Be sure to check out his moves before he heads back across the pond.
