Don’t we all have days when we wish we had a clone to delegated undesired duties to?
In the music video for her new single, “Charmer,” Aimee Mann secures herself a double, and in return gets a bit more than she bargained for. Her clone, played by the superb Laura Linney, does a better job at the rock star thing than the original model. A little too ironic for Mann, who named her own label, SuperEgo Records.
Tom Scharpling directs.
“Charmer” is the title track from Mann’s forthcoming eighth studio album, due September 18.
