Video Premiere

Feels Like The ’90s

Bright Light Bright Light has premiered the music video for “Feel It,” the new single from his debut album, Make Me Believe In Hope.

My favorite track on the set, the superlative “Feel It” encapsulates the biggest club hits of the ’90s in under five minutes, an era that Bright Light Bright Light’s Rod Thomas has had a great affinity toward since childhood. “I fell in love with the beats, rhythms, and divas of the ’90s dance-pop crossover tracks,” he told me back in June. “I loved the energy and the playfulness of the songs.”

That same energy and playfulness was regularly evident in the songs’ music videos too, a presentation that Bright Light Bright Light has brought to “Feel It” with director Dave Goldstein. Del Marquis of Scissor Sisters makes a cameo in the video, and the clip really takes off when the track’s featured vocalist, Mykal Kilgore — the man behind the wail — joins in.

Here’s the tracklisting for the “Feel It” single, to be released on October 29:

01 “Feel It” (Single Edit)
02 “Good Times”
03 “Feel It” (K Klass Remix)
04 “Feel It” (Vinny Vero & Steve Migliore Remix)
05 “Feel It” (So Hard Dub Version)
06 “Feel It” (12″ Version)

A physical release is also available for pre-order via Bright Light Bright Light’s website, paired with a second CD featuring remixes of previous single, “Waiting For The Feeling.”
