…so everybody knows how this came about.

Florrie has premiered a new song and music video, “Live A Little,” which according to its description on YouTube, was “written and performed by Florrie for the Sony XBA-C10 in-ear headphones campaign.”

Looking past the prominent product placement — I’m surprised there’s not a giant Sony logo emblazoned on Florrie’s drum kit — “Live A Little” is an infectiously punchy number, propelled by the bass strut of Spoon’s “I Turn My Camera On” (previously co-opted by Kelly Clarkson for “All I Ever Wanted”) and blasts of marching-band trumpets.

Here’s hoping that “Live A Little” is the first of much more to come from Florrie in 2020.
