Rihanna has released the music video for “We Found Love,” the Calvin Harris-featuring first single from her sixth album, Talk That Talk, out November 18. It’s a doozy, in which we see the (drug-induced) highs and (b)lows of a relationship, a clip seemingly inspired by the titles of Rihanna’s three previous albums — Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R, and Loud.
Just say no, kids! Don’t drop pills, shopflift, have crazy sex, gamble, attempt at-home tattooing, drink and do donuts in a parking lot, or even think about smoking a whole pack of cigarettes at once. “We Found Love” might be considered a cautionary tale, except Rihanna appears to emerge unscathed from the wreckage of the ultimately abusive relationship. Well, except for that “MINE” tattoo scrawled upon her bum. How’s that for “finding love in a hopeless place”?
Also, am I reading too much into the fact that the fella playing Rihanna’s boyfriend has a short-clipped bleached blond ‘do similar to one the Barbadian singer’s infamous former beau once sported?
