On October 30, Kylie Minogue will issue The Abbey Road Sessions, featuring all-new orchestral versions of her songs recorded in honor of her 25th year in the music industry.
While “Locomotion” and “I Should Be So Lucky” are surprisingly among the hits that have gotten reworked for the release, the album is also noteworthy for offering the debut studio recording of “Flower,” a song that Minogue has previously performed only in concert. It was originally written with Steve Anderson (Brothers In Rhythm) for her 2007 album, X, but the song didn’t make the cut.
Today Minogue debuted the music video for “Flower,” which she also directed. Filmed in Cornwall, England, the black-and-white clip for the ballad is an appropriately meditative piece in which the singer communes with nature. Watch Kylie walk in a field of wildflowers, float in water, and swing from a tree (yes, but not in the way those words might have you imagine).
