Continuing down a path forged in the music video for “Runaways,” the first single from Battle Born, The Killers‘ follow-up clip for “Miss Atomic Bomb” also emphasizes the band’s performance of the song over any real narrative hook.
Less stylized than “Runaways” and more cinéma vérité — tour buses, massive stadium crowds, backstage antics, a prayer circle — the Giorgio Testi-directed video for “Miss Atomic Bomb” isn’t what I would have detonated for the only Battle Born track produced by Stuart Price (Day & Age). Even the quick glimpse of a shirtless Brandon Flowers fails to ignite.
Purchase The Killers – “Miss Atomic Bomb” via iTunes, Amazon MP3.
