Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine may boast, “I’ve got the moves like Jagger,” but he leaves the Mick-like preening, posturing, and costuming to a parade of amateurs in the band’s new video for “Moves Like Jagger,” which also features some archival footage of the Rolling Stones’ frontman.

The single, on which Levine’s fellow The Voice coach Christina Aguilera guests, was released back in June, with the Jonas Åkerlund-directed video filmed shortly afterward, so it’s puzzling that it took this long for the clip’s premiere. But after falling from its Billboard Hot 100 debut at #8, “Moves Like Jagger” is scaling the charts again (#25 this week), so admiring a shirtless, stripped-to-his-hipbones Adam Levine (so much skin!) and a gorgeously made-up Christina Aquilera (who hasn’t come off as this playful in years) can only goose the song’s upward strut.
