With a killer lyric — How can you dance with a heavy heart? — you can’t fault Story Of The Running Wolf for wanting to breathe new life into “Stratospheric.” Originally included on an EP last July, it wasn’t until January that I took notice of the L.A. duo, assigning “Stratospheric” Track of the Moment status.

Realizing they’ve got something special on their hands, Josh D’Elia and Jeffrey Chernick have hit the restart button, releasing “Stratospheric” as a standalone single and premiering a new music video for it (a previous clip, now deleted, was of the visualizer variety).

Combining elements of ’80s sci-fi, fantasy, and adventure films — The NeverEnding Story and Tron, to name two — their low-budget epic could give Story Of The Running Wolf the second wind they so richly deserve:
