With less than 72 hours to go until Christmas Day, take a break from any last-minute rushing around to spend a few minutes more with one of the best original new Christmas tunes of 2011 (and really, top tracks of the entire year), Serenades‘ “Come Home.” A lovely sentiment wrapped in a beautifully layered production, the Swedish duo’s song is the total package.
Serenades’ heartfelt plea for a loved one’s return in time for the holidays — and some snow — now has a music video. Filmed in the Swiss Alps, Adam Olenius and Markus Krunegård travel high and low, searching together and apart (for what or whom exactly is unclear). The meditatively paced clip was directed by Olenius’ Shout Out Louds bandmate Ted Malmros, who has lensed music videos for fellow Swedes, Lykke Li and Peter Bjorn and John.
