The Knocks released their new single — and major label debut, via A&M/Octone — “Brightside,” at the start of November (with a slew of remixes, natch). With the hip-shakin’ melody on my mind for a few weeks now, the New York City duo has premiered the song’s music video.
In the clip, one committed, blinged-up superfan of The Knocks makes a very special delivery in his equally tricked-out ride, meeting his musical masters B-Roc and JPatt in the flesh and (maybe?) dancing with the DJs. Whether the celebratory end scenes are reality or fantasy, I doubt I’m the only one amused that the guy cuts a rug on an actual rug in the video.
“Brightside” appears on The Knocks’ new EP, Magic, which arrives tomorrow. Sneak an advance listen via FILTER Magazine, which features the behind-the-scenes production scoop on each track, courtesy of B-Roc and JPatt.
