Tony Bennett might have turned 86 in August, but the master interpreter isn’t skipping a beat, releasing Viva Duets on October 22. It’s Bennett’s third duets-themed album, following 2006’s Duets and last year’s Duets II, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and garnered three Grammy Awards (including one for “Body And Soul,” recorded with the late Amy Winehouse).
On Viva Duets, Bennett teams up with Marc Anthony, Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Chayanne, Thalía, and other Latin artists from around the world to perform bilingual versions of some of the legendary entertainer’s greatest hits.
Aguilera, who embraced her Ecuadorian roots at the start of her career via her 2000 Spanish-language album, Mi Reflejo, collaborates with Bennett on “Steppin’ Out With My Baby.” Their sprightly Viva Duets number premiered today:
